Kitchen Garden
Rhododendrons, azaleas & edibles
Location: EXPO 2019 Shandong, China
Project Type: Show Garden
Client: Homeihort Association
The concept of the design was to create an outdoor kitchen area with edible plants including fruit trees, herbs, and vegetables. In addition, rhododendron and azalea plant species have been included to promote the client’s association.
The garden welcomes visitors with a mix of modern and traditional structures. A medium sized rhododendron specimen shrub located in the central section of the garden provides an attractive focal point. Small fruit trees, planted table and flower beds include edible greens to get visitors excited in the harvesting of their own vegetables and herbs in a sustainable way.
