Our First Home
RHS Gold Medal Winner
Location: RHS Hampton, UK
Project Type: Show Garden
Client: Royal Horticulture Society (RHS), the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) & Landform Consultants
This garden was designed with a young professional couple in mind and created with a small budget. Our idea was to use the garden to inspire a love of gardening for the first time, and also provide a space that can be used as an outdoor room for informal gathering with friends.
The design has a sustainable and low carbon footprint approach using reclaimed scaffold boards, recycled ceramic gravel and a salvaged part from a Model Ford T as a sculpture.
Our first ever show garden, we were delighted that this garden won an RHS Gold Medal and Best Low Cost, High Impact Garden at RHS Hampton in 2012.
The design has a sustainable and low carbon footprint approach using reclaimed scaffold boards, recycled ceramic gravel and a salvaged part from a Model Ford T as a sculpture.
