East Finchley
A contemporary family garden
Location: London, UK
Project Type: private Garden
Client: private client
The client has a vast space in the rear garden with existing mature trees and plants which had been neglected for some time and required a general overhaul.
The design concept combines contemporary, minimalist and woodland styles, and divides the long space into two to create exciting and multi-functional outdoor rooms with surprising elements at the rear of the garden.
Our proposal includes a plunge pool with an infinity edge and gentle waterfalls as a striking feature for relaxing and refreshing on hot summer days. An eye-catching water feature at the end of the central footpath creates a worthwhile destination.
The herb and vegetable bed is hidden behind the ornamental planting bed to ensure that the pleasant view of the garden from the house is not compromised. Part of the rear garden aims to involve the entire family in harvesting their own food from fruit trees and edible plants. The other part includes children’s play area in a natural woodland setting.
An eye-catching water feature at the end of the central footpath creates a worthwhile destination.

A secluded oasis
The garden needed an injection of style to compliment the new interior design of the house, and our client wanted to maximise privacy and sound proofing in their garden to create a secluded oasis.
